Q. What is the Accuplacer?
A. The Accuplacer is a computerized assessment test given to individuals before entering college. It is used to help place students in the appropriate level of classes.

Q. How long is the test?
A. The test is not timed. The test usually takes students 1 to 2 hours to complete.

Q. Can I skip a question if I don’t know the answer?
A. No. The test is adaptive, meaning that the answer given to a question will determine the next question. There is no way to skip a question or go back to a question.

Q. Can I bring a calculator for the math portion of the test?
A. No. Calculators are not allowed.

Q. What are the scores required to pass the test?
A. Each school has different minimum score requirements. Check on the school administration’s website for specifics.

Q. What should I bring to the testing site?
A. Photo identification and anything else that your college specifies.
